The installation uses a triple-Arduino CUSTOM control system, motion capture (via Kinect and Optical Flow), and real-time audio production (via Ableton Live) to generate a dynamic interplay between gentle wave simulations and responsive visual feedback.
Visuals were developed in Touch Designer, combining custom GPU-accelerated particle systems and shader effects crafted to evoke an ethereal, organic aesthetic.
To enhance immersion, the setup includes dual floor projectors installed in opposing corners to minimize shadows, as well as a third projector aimed at the ceiling, displaying custom motion graphics that expand the sensory field of the experience. ARDUINO CONTROLLED LED PROPS WERE ADDED TO ADD A FINAL LAYER OF IMMERSION AROUND THE INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCE.
